If you knocked some angiotensin converting enzymes tooth out, do you think its fair for that individual to hit your tooth out? If so, you agree with a law written by King Hammurabi which states An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. Hammurabi was one of the best know Mesopotamian kings, and ruled the Babylon Empire from 1792-50 B.C.E. As his kingdom grew he knew he had to bugger off together the groups he controlled. He combined all these laws from different places into one big code. Hammurabi was one of the first people to write laws about taxes. The residual between Hammurabi and all these people he took the ideas from, is that Hammurabis taxes were not equal taxes you know today, he did tax the people for money but he also asked for grain and oils as payment.Hammurabis idea was to write laws to realize justice in the land, abolish the bad people, and protect the weak. Hammurabi was convinced that the gods selected him to flirt truth and structure to his people, and h e took this task very passionately.
